Teams will have a 13-player roster, of which a maximum of 10 players may be eligible to play per day. Team rosters are as follows:

  • 3 Guards (PG/SG)

  • 3 Forwards (SF/PF)

  • 1 Center (C)

  • 3 Utilities (PG/SG/SF/PF/C)

  • 3 Bench (Players not eligible to play on the day)

  • 4 injury slots (2 IL, 2 IL+, which takes into consideration players who are DTD)

Adds are limited to four (4) per week.

All trades will be evaluated and approved by the Control Board of the league, which consists of 5 voters, and the decision will be made based on the majority of votes (The decision does not have to be unanimous).

Draft Picks can be traded, but it is important to note that to send a draft pick, a draft pick must be received in return as Yahoo does not allow trading draft picks for player to avoid imbalances in the following year's draft.

In the case of a tie for the last playoff spot, the winner of the regular season series between the teams that are tied will be awarded the 8th seed.

Teams that are out of the playoffs when they begin, will have their rosters locked and they cannot add players from FA. As the playoff progress, the teams that are eliminated will have their rosters locked as well. During the finals, both the teams competing for 1st and 2nd place, as well as the teams competing for 3rd place in the loser's bracket are allowed to do roster moves.

For the draft, teams will draft based on their position in the standings (not including playoffs) at the end of the season. The four worst records will have their places dictated by the draft lottery. This is to prevent tanking, as picking first in next year's draft is not guaranteed

League registration money must be submitted in full prior to the draft.

GENERAL RULES

wp9341170.jpg

Each team will select four (4) players from their current roster as their keepers before the draft. Players who are "Out for Season" cannot be selected as keepers, however, there are exceptions to this rule. To reserve a player that is "Out for season" as a keeper, the player must have been drafted by a team and never released into free agency.  If X Team drafts a player who is "Out for season" or suffers an injury that sidelines him for the rest of the season, the player must stay in an IL spot to qualify as a keeper.

Players who are "Out for Season" before the season begins cannot be traded. This applies even if they were drafted. If the player is drafted and suffers an injury before the season begins but the NBA/Yahoo does not give him "Out for season" status, he can be traded. An example of this was when Pablo's Wonderful Team drafted an injured Zion Williamson. According to reports, he was supposed to return in December, but the date kept getting postponed and no "Out for season" status was given to Zion. Close to the end of the season, it was determined by the NBA that Zion would be out for the entire season. Given that the player was drafted with the expectancy of him returning to basketball activities and that there was no indication of the contrary, he is trade eligible.

Keepers are not locked to any specific position, and can be mixed and matched.
